 Elephant Care International assisted in the writing, editing, and distribution of Elephant Biology, Medicine, and Surgery, the first comprehensive book dedicated to elephant healthcare. This book was published in August, 2006 Details here Our staff and Advisory Board members have authored hundreds of papers and given many technical presentations on elephant health issues at scientific meetings. Among the publications is “Sumatran Elephants in Crisis―Time for Change” a chapter for a book on elephant ethics to be published in 2007 by the Johns Hopkins University Press. Our Dr. Susan Mikota will also publish a new book on Elephant Hematology in 2007. Help provide funds for the free distribution of Elephant Biology, Medicine, and Surgery in Asia.Our priority will be to use your contributions for the project or projects you select. If funding for those projects is sufficient, funds will be used at our discretion for purposes consistent with our mission. Some funds may support international projects. |
