How to Download

.

It is possible to download any category of references as a file for off-web use. In the future, we will add a feature allowing you to download the entire database as a single Microsoft Access Database.  If you need this in the interim, please contact us

There are basically two ways to download a complete category.

1- Save as an HTML web pageYou can save the page as an html web page that you can later view at any time via your browser (Internet Explorer or other) even when you are not connected to the Internet.

Open the page for the category that you want to save.  Note that each category is a single web page.

Go to File
Save as...
and select from the choices that appear:

Web Page, complete (*.html, *.htm) - Not Recommended - can be confusing, creates separate .htm file and a folder that includes the images
Web Archive single file (*.mht) -RECOMMENDED - images and text same as original
Web Page, html only (*.html, *.htm) - another good choice - smaller files without images
Text File (*.txt) -
Not Recommended

Specify where to save the file on your computer
re-name the file if you desire
and SAVE

2 - Select, Copy, and Save as a Microsoft Word
     document.

Right click just to the left of "References"
while holding the "Shift" button down (on your keyboard), scroll to the end of the last entry and right click again.  Release the shift key. This will select the entire text of that category.

Right click again (within the selected text area) and select "copy" from the drop-down menu

Open a new or blank document in Microsoft Word
Right click within the new document and select "paste" from the drop-down menu. Save as appropriate
