Elephant Forum
A Global Internet Forum
  facilitating the sharing of elephant
data among professionals

The Elephant Forum has been created to provide a worldwide avenue of communication for elephant veterinarians, managers, field scientists and
other professionals engaged in elephant care and conservation.
The forum
is
a non-moderated open forum.  It is hoped that this Forum will facilitate an on-going exchange of important information that will improve the care of captive and wild elephants.

Elephant medicine can be challenging. Diseases readily treatable in other species may be life threatening for elephants. Subtle signs of potentially serious disorders may only be recognized by first-hand experience.  Real-
time advice from experienced colleagues is invaluable and may be life
-saving.  We also have much to share and learn about elephant management
in captivity and the conservation of wild populations.

Elephant conservation is a goal most of us share, yet we may have divergent concepts of how to best save these environmentally impacted and impacting creatures.  This forum presents an opportunity to present your ideas and experiences.  Please be constructive in your comments and read the
Position Statement  before participating.
