Batak man whose house and palm plantation were attacked by wild elephants, Riau, Sumatra

This elephant was apparently shot by angry villagers in Rokan Hulu District, Riau, Sumatra.  One man had been killed earlier and another wounded by elephants "pocketed" by poor government land-use planning.  This elephant suffered more than 50 wounds over his entire body.  These wounds have almost healed.
