This website was internally designed and is published as a public service by our staff. The site features the premier database for elephant healthcare and The Elephant Formulary. This is the first formulary for elephants and was developed by Dr. Susan Mikota in conjunction with Donald C. Plumb, Pharm D., author of the Veterinary Drug Handbook (Iowa State University Press; now Blackwell Publishing).
