Elephants and pawangs of Sebanga

what we brought

Peri probably had the tip of his trunk cut off by a snare when he was younger.  Without his "finger" it is difficult for him to grasp food and he might not be able to survive in the wild. Amazingly, it has been observed that other elephants will feed an injured elephant incapable of collecting food for
itself .  Peri was placed on supplemental feedings, made possible by a donation from the
Chevron Environmental Fund.
