Want to do more?   Age 12 to 100.   We will give you your own personal web page where in your own words, you can tell your friends and relatives why they should contribute to Elephant Care International projects of your choice.

Elephants are known as an umbrella species. When you protect habitat for elephants, at the same time you are protecting the habitat of hundreds of other plants and animals. You are also protecting the forests that help prevent flooding and help us mitigate global warming. It just makes sense. Its your choice, be a frivolous consumer, or a thoughtful trend-setter. Pachyderm (affectionately abbreviated to "pachy") means thick-skinned and is another name for elephants.

More than half of Asian elephants are located in India, so as you consider what you can to to help save elephants, remember the words of the great Indian leader:

...you must be the change you want to see in the world.”
